RFID Information
Rabbit Hill is introducing new RFID technology this summer! These reloadable cards (that are replacing our traditional lift tickets) will give you more options while reducing waste. We have tried to answer as many questions below as possible. If you have additional questions, please reach out to us at [email protected] or 780-955-2440 and we are happy to help you out.Â
How does RFID Work?
You likely already have used RFID and not known it!
The RFID technology used for our summer tubing tickets is the same technology used to tap your credit card, hotel room keys, or use your phone to pay at a store. Our RFID cards will be your summer tubing ticket and operate the gate to access the lift.
What does it mean for me as a guest?
RFID cards are a great way to reduce lines and reduce waste! Your RFID card can be purchased online and quickly picked up at one of our ticket boxes near Customer Service. Plus they can be reloaded many times - after reloading online you can head directly to the lift once you arrive.
Please note:Â All guests must have an online profile to reload their lift ticket or season pass cards.
Purchasing RFID Tubing TicketsÂ
Please purchase your tubing ticket online in advance! Your first RFIDÂ Card will be FREE and can be reused for future visits (including next year!). If you lose or forget your card, customer service can replace your card for a $5 replacement fee.Â
All users must create an account (online or in person). If you have shopped online with us in the past 2 years, you will already have an account. If you are unable to login to your account, please contact us at [email protected]. PLEASE DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT, it will make reloading your card more difficult! Using your RFID Lift TicketÂ
You must place your RFID card on the LEFT side of your person for the gates to read it properly.
IMPORTANT
- The card should be the only thing in your pocket!! Â
- DO not place with your cell phone, credit cards, other RFID Cards and other electronic devices. Â
- Do not punch a hole in your card – it may damage the RFID. RFID Cards should be handled with care. If they are bent, punched or scratched, they may not work properly.Â
If you have issues with your RFID card, please pop into Customer Service and we would be happy to help you out!Â
At the Lift
At the lift you will see the new gate that has been installed. Simply stand close to the gate and it will open automatically once it has detected your card. Â
If the gate does not open, step back and position your card close to the reader. Otherwise, our staff will be nearby and can help you access the lift. Â
Reload your Card ONline
One of the best parts about the RFID card is that you can reload it online at any time and can be used for several summer and winter seasons. Â
- To reload your tubing ticket, visit our webstore and log into your account. Â
- Make sure you use the same email address you used to purchase the RFID card or other products otherwise it will not link you to your RFID card.Â
- Once you are in your account, choose the product you wish to purchase by selecting the profile of the card user and add the product to your cart.Â
- You can also reload other users who have profiles on your account at this time. Â
- Once you have reloaded the RFID card(s) you can continue to check outÂ
- Now you will be able to proceed directly to the lifts with your reloaded card!Â

Summer RFID FAQs
HOW LONG ARE THE RFID CARDS GOOD FOR?
The RFID card is reusable. So don’t throw it out – you can reload it online with another 2-hour tubing time block or even add a lift ticket & season pass to it in the winter season.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGOT MY CARD?
You will need to have your RFID card with you to access the lift. If you forgot your card at home, please go to Customer Service with ID and they can issue you a new card. The card is included in your original purchase, but a replacement will be charged a $5 fee. Once we have issued you a new RFID card, the original will be deactivated.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE MY CARD OR IT IS STOLEN?
Please go to Customer Service with ID and they can issue you a new card. You will not lose any purchases that were on the card, they will simply be transferred to the new RFID Card. The card price is included in your original purchase, but a replacement will be charged a $5 fee.
Where are the pickup boxes located?
You can find our two pickup boxes located near customer service. One outside near the ticket windows, and one inside the front doors to the right.
Where Should I Put My RFID Card?
You must place your RFID card on the LEFT side of your person for the gates to read it properly.
IMPORTANT:

- Do not punch a hole in your card – it may damage the RFID. RFID Cards should be handled with care. If they are bent, punched or scratched, they may not work properly.
What happens if my card breaks or isn’t working properly?
Customer service can help with broken or faulty cards. If the card is damaged from use, you will need to get a new card ($5 fee will apply). Please keep your cards in good shape, they may not work if they become bent, punched or scratched. If your card has never worked properly, we will issue a replacement for free.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE GATES DO NOT OPEN?
If the gates do not open, first try to reposition yourself closer to the reader. If you continue to have difficulties, reach out to a staff member and they will help you.
CAN I RELOAD MY RFID CARD AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE COUNTER?
Yes, you will be able to reload your RFID Card in person at the Customer Service Counter. However, we recommend reloading online due to there being limited availability per time slot.
